Save the Date! 3rd Annual ʔaq'am Economic Development Date Announced
On behalf of Chief & Council, we are proud to announce the date of this year's ʔaq'am Economic Development Evening, being Thursday, September 26th. Time is yet to be announced but networking will likely start at 4:30 pm. The location for this year's event will be at the St. Eugene Mission Resort.
This year marks ʔaq'am's 3rd Annual Economic Development Evening, the theme of which will be "BRIDGING ʔAQ'AM SUCCESSES." We will be sharing a meal, knowledge and information with ʔaq'am Community members, Ktunaxa citziens, and a wide variety of interested partners and stakeholders.
Our Economic Development Evening is a presentation on behalf of Chief & Council highlighting answers to the following from an ʔaq'am Community perspective:
- What is community economic development?
- Why is it important for our community?
- Why is it important to me?
- How do we put Ka Kniⱡwitiyaⱡa (our Community Strategic Plan) into practice?
We will also be highlighting our Community's accomplishments, challenges, and activity highlights for the past year and plans for the upcoming year. The keynote topic for the evening this year will be the unveiling and launch of the ʔaq'am Community's Land Code process that will be undertaken over the course of the upcoming fiscal year.
