Trespassers on your Certificate of Possession Lands

Trespassers on your Certificate of Possession (CP) Lands?

Rights of CP holders include:

  • posting “no trespassing” signs on their privately held property
  • asking people they no longer want on their CP lands to leave, even if the CP holder invited the people to the property in the first place

“No trespassing” signs can be picked up from Sarah Baines, Land Code Advisor, at the ʔaq̓am Administration building.

The Wildfire Mitigation Specialist field component is granted access to ʔaq̓am lands forming Kootenay IR 1 for the purposes of training for home ignition zone assessments within Mission Wycliff Rd #9900/9950 and Mission Road #4800/4550 from May 28-30, 2024. Ashley O’Neil has approval from homeowners about training activities to be completed around the home.
