2014/2015 ʔaq̓am annual report is now available for review.  Please note a condensed set of financials is in the report, a full set of our financials has been posted as a seperate document and has been registered with AANDC.  If you would like a printed copy of either of these reports, please notify the band office or contact Sonya Morigeau at

Land Use Plan- Comments Please!

The Draft ʔaq̓am Community Land Use Plan has been revised and revised again based on extensive input and feedback from our ʔaq̓amnik members. The Draft is now ready and available for final review and comment before it is put to vote by membership in the Fall (date to be determined).

ʔaq̓amnik voters will be receiving a copy of the Draft Land Use Plan in the mail in the coming days. However, it is also available here for viewing, along with the appendices and feedback form.

Specific Claims Hearing- July 21st- 24th

The Specific Claims Tribunal will be hearing the oral testimony of identified ʔaq̓amnik as it pertains to the St. Eugene Mission Residentail School Farm Lands Specific Claim. 

The Hearing will take place July 21st- 24th in the Chief David Room at the St. Euegene Mission Resort and is open to all ʔaq̓amnik. Opening Prayer and Proceedings begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21st.

Matrimonial Real Property Law Enacted

On June 30th, 2015 Membership voted in favour of enacting the ʔaq̓am Matrimonial Real Property Law. 

67 Members voted, with 44 "Yes" ballots and 23 "NO" ballots. The Law took effect the same day as it was approved by Membership. 

The Final Law is attached here for reference as well as the Certification by our Voting Officer. A copy of the Law is also available at the adminstration office.
