ʔaq̓am Council and Administration wishes to welcome Nicole Kapell as ʔaq̓am Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Nicole Kapell has worked for Ktunaxa for over 15 years in various capacities, most recently as the Director of the Lands and Resources Sector at the Ktunaxa Nation Council. Nicole has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a Master of Arts in Environment and Management. She has spent the past 15 years learning from Ktunaxa and applying those teachings to stewardship of lands and resources in ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa. Nicole is originally from Saskatchewan and currently resides in Kimberley with her husband, her dog and her three cats. Nicole is looking forward to continuing to support Ktunaxa goals and vision in this new role. 

Nicole begins her CAO duties on Oct 7, 2024.
